The fine print, in plain English.
Short, because it should be. These are the terms for every job Kerb2Kerb does. Last updated 3 September 2026.
Who I am
Kerb2Kerb is run by James, a sole trader trading as Kerb2Kerb, based in Southampton. One van — a 2019 Citroën Dispatch — and one driver. There are no subcontractors; the person who quotes is the person who collects, drives and delivers.
What I carry
Luggage and goods only. Nobody travels in the van, ever — not the customer, not a friend, not a child. You make your own way and your things meet you there. If the job needs a person to go with the goods, it isn't a Kerb2Kerb job.
Requests and confirmation
Anything you send through the website, the form or WhatsApp is a request, not a booking. I check the diary and confirm by WhatsApp, or offer the nearest time I can do. Nothing is booked until you have that confirmation message. Requests are taken in the order they arrive.
Prices
Every price is agreed before the job, in writing on WhatsApp, and that is the price you pay. The website price tool works from postcode districts and is an estimate to within a mile or two; the number I confirm is the one that counts. Nothing is added on the day except waiting time (below), and you'll know about that in advance. There is no VAT — I'm a sole trader under the VAT threshold.
Waiting time
The first 15 minutes of waiting at any collection or delivery are free. After that it's £10 per 15 minutes. This mostly applies at cruise terminals and airports.
Payment
Bank payment or cash on completion. No deposit is taken. Business customers can have an invoice by WhatsApp or email, settled by bank payment.
Cancellation
Cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the agreed collection time. Inside 24 hours a £15 callout applies. If I have to cancel on you, there is nothing to pay. If your sailing or flight moves, tell me as soon as you know and I'll move the collection with it where I can; if I can't make the new time, there's nothing to pay.
Your things: photos, damage and insurance
Everything is photographed at collection and again at delivery, so there's a record of condition at both ends. Pack cases and boxes so they'd survive normal handling — I load carefully but I can't be responsible for a box that wasn't taped, or a case that wasn't closed. If something is damaged while it's with me, tell me within 24 hours with photos and the claim goes through the goods-in-transit insurance.
Cover in place: goods in transit insured up to £25,000, public liability £5,000,000, hire & reward courier cover and fully comprehensive vehicle insurance, with Somerset Bridge Insurance and Novus Insurance.
Area
Southampton and around 20 miles: Winchester, Eastleigh, Fareham, Portsmouth, the New Forest and Bournemouth. Heathrow and Gatwick are covered at fixed prices from anywhere in that area. Anywhere else is by arrangement — ask.
Cookies and your details
This site uses one cookie, the Meta Pixel, and only if you accept it on the banner. It lets my ads find people who actually want luggage moved. Say no and nothing is set. The details you send in a request are used to reply to you and do the job, kept privately, and never sold or passed on.
Contact
WhatsApp 07926 438553. That reaches me directly, and it's the fastest way to get an answer.
