Cases collected from your door, waiting at the terminal.
£12 a case, £30 minimum, from anywhere within 15 miles of the port. You travel however you like — train, car, taxi — carrying nothing heavier than a coat. Your cases are with the porters and on their way to your cabin.
Four steps, one photo.
Request a collection
Price it below or WhatsApp me the postcode, terminal, number of cases and sailing date. Sailing-day mornings go first, so book ahead. I confirm by WhatsApp.
Label your cases
Print your cruise line's luggage tags and attach them before I arrive — that's what routes each case to your cabin. I photograph every case at your door.
Terminal drop
I take them to your terminal's luggage drop and hand them to the porters inside the cruise line's drop-off window. No car park, no queue for you.
Photo and message
You get a photo of your cases at the terminal and a message that they're in. Next time you see them is outside your cabin door.
Around your sailing, not a timetable.
Sailing day
Southampton terminals take luggage from late morning through to mid-afternoon on sailing day. Request a morning collection and I drop your cases as the terminal opens — you follow on for your boarding time. Early boarding, or a long trip in? Ask about collecting the evening before.
Coming home
On disembarkation day you collect your cases inside the terminal as normal, hand them to me at the kerb outside, and they're at your front door before you are. Tell me your disembarkation time and I'll plan the collection around it — confirmed by WhatsApp.
Waiting time
First 15 minutes free, then £10 per 15 minutes. It only comes up if the terminal is holding luggage back — I'll say so up front, never spring it on you.
Ship delayed or cancelled?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Inside 24 hours it's a £15 callout. If the line moves your boarding time, message me and I'll move with it where I can.
Count the cases.
Within 15 miles of the port it's per case, £30 minimum. Further out I price the journey instead. Either way, no VAT.
| Cases | Price, door to terminal |
|---|---|
| 1–2 cases | £30 (the minimum) |
| 3 cases | £36 |
| 4 cases | £48 |
| 6 cases | £72 |
| Each case after | +£12 — a large box or awkward item counts as a case |
| Over 15 miles | £20 callout + £1.20 a mile, one-way. Winchester ≈ £40, Portsmouth ≈ £43 for the whole run. |
All five Southampton terminals.
Ocean and QEII are in the Eastern Docks; City, Mayflower and Horizon are in the Western Docks. Not sure which is yours? It's on your cruise line's boarding email — or send me the ship name.
Postcode, terminal, cases.
One number. Request it, or send it straight to my WhatsApp — I'll confirm before anything is booked.
Before you sail.
Can I come in the van with my cases?
No — I carry luggage only, never people. You get to the terminal however suits you and your cases are already with the porters. That's what keeps it £12 a case and properly insured.
How do my cases get from the porters to my cabin?
Exactly as they would if you'd handed them over yourself. The cruise line's luggage tags do the routing — print and attach them before I collect, and the porters take it from there.
Can you collect from a hotel or an Airbnb?
Yes. Give me the postcode and a name for reception, and a time you'll have the cases ready at the door.
Are my cases insured while they're with you?
Yes — goods in transit cover up to £25,000 and £5 million public liability, with Somerset Bridge Insurance and Novus Insurance. I photograph every case at your door and at the terminal.
How many cases fit?
A 2019 Citroën Dispatch takes 15+ large suitcases in one load — a big family's worth with room to spare. For a group booking from several addresses, WhatsApp me and I'll price it as one run.
Is my collection confirmed as soon as I request it?
Not until you get my WhatsApp saying so — it's one van and one driver. Book ahead where you can; sailing-day mornings fill in the order requests come in.
